Air Source Heat Pumps

Save up to $1000

Air-source heat pumps provide both heating and cooling.  The heat pump system works by using an exterior unit to extract heat from the outside and carries it to another unit inside of your home for heating.  The reverse of this process works to cool your home and uses the same external heat exchanger with fan, as used by an air-conditioner. Unlike an air conditioning unit, however, the heat pump system is able to both warm and cool the air.

ENERGY STAR certified air-source heat pumps have higher ratings for heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF) and use about 5% less energy than conventional new models.*

Rebate: $600; SEER2 > 15.2, EER2 ≥ 11.7, HSPF2 ≥ 7.8 (Split System)

Rebate: $1,000; SEER2 ≥ 17.1, EER2 ≥ 11.7, HSPF2 ≥ 7.8 (Split System)

Rebate: $600; SEER2 ≥ 15.2, EER2 ≥ 10.6, HSPF2 ≥ 7.2 (Single Packaged)

Rebate: $1,000; SEER2 ≥ 17.1, EER2 ≥ 10.6, HSPF2 ≥7.2 (Single Packaged)

Air-source Heat Pumps - Cold Climate (COP 1.75@ 5 degrees)
Rebate: $1,000; SEER2 ≥ 15.2, EER2 ≥ 10, HSPF2 ≥ 8.1

Central Air Conditioners

Save up to $500

If your central air conditioning unit is more than 12 years old, replacing it with an ENERGY STAR certified model could cut your cooling costs by 30%.*

Rebate: $500; SEER2 ≥ 16, EER2 ≥ 12 (Split System)

Rebate: $325; SEER2 > 15.2, EER2 ≥ 12 (Split System)

Rebate: $500; SEER2 ≥ 17.1, EER2 ≥ 11.5 (Single Packaged)

Rebate: $325; SEER2 ≥ 15.2, EER2 ≥ 11.5 (Single Packaged)

(i.e. combined compressor, coil, and air handler if applicable)

Ductless Heating & Cooling Systems

Save up to $500

ENERGY STAR certified ductless mini-split systems may cut cooling costs significantly compared to conventional room air conditioners.

Ductless Mini-Split A/C units
Rebate: $500; ENERGY STAR & SEER2 ≥ 20, EER2 ≥ 12.5

Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pumps
Rebate $400; SEER2 ≥ 20, EER2 ≥ 12, HSPF2 ≥ 9 (single zone)
Rebate $400; SEER2 ≥ 18, EER2 ≥ 12, HSPF2 ≥ 9 (multi zone)

Furnace Fans

Save up to $100

An electronically commutated motor (ECM) has variable speeds that respond to varying airflow needs. Typically, an ECM will start slowly, then increase the speed of the fan as needed. This significantly saves on energy because the fan can adjust throughout the heating or cooling cycle.

Rebate: $100

Geothermal Heat Pumps

Save up to $1500

A geothermal system pulls heat from the ground to heat your home in the winter, and it transfers heat from your home into the ground to cool it in the summer.

Rebates for ENERGY STAR certified units:

Replacing an air source heat pump or ground source heat pump
$500 rebate

Replacing an electric forced air furnace/central air conditioner
$1,500 rebate
